Cantrip as a Non-Weapon Proficiency

Cost
Mages/Specialist Wizards: 2 slots or 4 CPs
Bards: 3 slots or 5 CPs
Thieves/Warriors: 4 slots or 7 CPs

Priests cannot learn the Cantrips NWP unless they worship a god/goddess of magic. Then the cost is as a mage.

Initial Score: 4

Modifier: Intelligence/Reason

16 +3
17 +4
18 +5

In addition, mages, bards, and priests of gods/goddesses of magic get +1/level modifier for every level after 1st. Non-mages can use NWP slots or CPs to add to this ability.

Cantrip works as in the Player's Handbook first level Cantrip spell other than duration. It cannot harm another or disrupt spellcasting. Instead of having a duration, a new check is made each time the person attempts something.

For example, Daphne is an 11th level Illusionist with the Cantrip NWP. Her Intelligence is 16. So her base chance to successfully cast a Cantrip is 4+3+10 or 15.
